Simon Mwega
Simon's sponsorship began in January 2008 after he finished at Saramek Primary School. His father had died and his mother couldn't look after him as there were several children and her relatives wouldn't give any support. Simon was on the streets when Sarah Njambi (then headmistress of Saramek Primary School) took care of him. He went with Sarah when she was displaced and now attends Gichuru Secondary School near Ngecha, further east from Kericho.
He was top of his class last term and in April wrote to Will and Ollie: "We are all working hard and in fact in the previous term I was the best student in the class and was given a present. I’m praying to God that he may continue guiding me and also that he may bless you and your families also."
